New management is awful!!! I was renting a studio and when I moved out, my mom, boyfriend and I cleaned it very well and to be honest, there was not a lot to clean since it was extremely small. New management had called me stating that my security deposit had gone to the cleaners for them to clean my apartment. I called them (let me note that I called them numerous times before someone had called me back) and wanted to know what exactly they had to clean and they never gave me a straight answer as to what they had to clean. A month later, I had received my security deposit back and turns out, my security deposit did not even go to a cleaning fee to clean my apartment after I left and looks as if they had mistaken my apartment for another. There were other issues as well with the new management and that also involved not hearing back from them and constantly calling them over and over again about questions. Forget about email, they did not even email back. I am so thankful to be out of this apartment.

This place was great- until June 2019 when the new management took over. It all went downhill from there.. Kala is the WORST property manager i have ever dealt with. She is exceptionally rude and never responds to emails or phone calls. When the new owners/management took over in June they did away with the rent drop box for security reasons. They did not give us residents a heads up beforehand and they happened to do this on a month when the First was on a Saturday. I had nowhere to leave my rent check, and had no choice but to wait until the office opened back up on Monday which was the 3rd. I told her I work in jackson and cannot bring a check in during their office hours (which by the way- she is NEVER around during the posted office hours anyway). Her response was to “mail a check”. What? I live 3 doors down and because i can’t drop it off to you I have to mail you a check? Well I mailed it like she asked- and she still put a notice on our door on the 6th saying our rent was late. PLUS charged us a fee because of their inconvenience and complete inability to communicate. She refused to call or email me back during this whole mess as well- and when she finally did call me back about a week later she told me I could pay online. AFTER i had already mailed the check like she originally told me to do. Fast forward to moving out. I gave Kala notice beginning of August that we were moving out on October 18. No response. I emailed her in mid September asking to set up a move out inspection for that day. No response. I emailed AND called beginning of October- no response. I called again and left a Voicemail because now not only is she not responding to my emails or calls, she also didn’t prorate our rent amount online. She finally responded- via email- she didn’t have the decency to call me back- saying she would be “out of town on the 18th and asked if we could move the inspection to a different day” Uhm no- I'm moving! It is your job as a manager to accommodate your residents- not our job to accommodate you. She then said that we have to do a move out inspection to ensure I get my deposit back, and that she is trying to get a manager from a different property to come up and cover her and that she would let me know if someone else would be in the office or if she was “just going to close for the 17th and 18th”. Shocker- I never heard from her after that. I moved out on the 18th, left my keys in the house and called the office expecting to leave a voicemail. There was another manager there covering- who not only was 10x more helpful (and not to mention nicer) than kala ever has been, she informs me that the move out inspection isn't even required and is just for the residents peace of mind. I emailed kala that same day with all of my info for the deposit- never heard from her. In fact i had to be the one to email her asking 3 weeks later where my deposit was and where the invoice is for any damages. According to my lease- she was supposed to do that herself. Kala was truly the most terrible manager I have ever had to work with- both in the rental and customer service fields. She does not care about the residents or the issues they may be having, she only cares about her own personal time and having you accommodate to her schedule. Blatantly ignoring emails and phone calls from your residents because you don’t want to deal with the conflict is not only incredibly rude- but it is a reflection of your character and how you treat the others around you. When residents move out, it is not their problem if you will be out of town- figure it out on your own. I loved my little house, but I would never rent from Targhee Place again as long as she is “managing”. Words can’t even describe how incredibly frustrating, difficult and infuriating she was to attempt to work with. If i were the owners, I would be embarrassed to call her my employee.

Was out in Wyoming for my sister's wedding and checked this place out. Next time I'm out here I'd definitely stay here.

They changed management and now things are different. Almost 5 weeks and a maintenance issue has not been solved. The A/C does not get cold and even tho i have been complaining for weeks about it, someone comes, touches the thermostat and thats it. It does not go below 73 during summer time. This is really frustrating. (Update) 1 month later problem has not been solved and i was about to be charged the fee of the A/C reparation when it did not work before me moving in (tech came LITERALLY 5 minutes, played with thermostat and left, boom $200), issue still has not been solved. I have been told a 1000 different instructions on how to use the A/C for it to work, but its not supposed to take 8 hours to cool down only 2 degrees!!
